    Bad Side Effects of Plaquenil - Nov 18, 2013 Hi I think that Lucy may be correct in that the constipation may be caused from your Lupus. Normally, Plaquenil causes the opposite effect with diarrhea being the problem. I've not heard of anyone mentioning constipation as the side effect. That's not to say it doesn't happen though.
